The Bushcraft Chair

The most comfortable thing you can sit on in the woods

The most comfortable thing you will sit on in the woods.

Named the bushcraft chair as you need to do a little bushcraft to set it up by simply building a tripod, bracing the bottom of the front two legs then cutting two sticks. The chair itself is used to get the right measurements for each part.

At less than 600g / 1.32lb for the whole kit it is one of the lightest camping chairs on the market and puts it among the lightest ‘ultra light’ camping chairs available. It's so light because you ‘carry’ the heavy bits as knowledge in how to forage and craft the frame to set it up at camp, and knowledge weighs nothing.

With the Salbok bushcraft chair light does not mean delicate or fragile though. The materials used have been meticulously selected for being a combination of waterproof, fire resistant, Abrasion resistant and UV resistant meaning it can stand up to the rigors of outdoor uses.

Its tubular design lets you insulate it, helping keep you warm in colder or breezier weather. Your choice of the Salbok dedicated foam insert or dry brush or grass can be used and It's also compatible with most foam sit pads or sit mats.

Its other main function is as a ground mat for hammocking, bivvying or even when using a tent or hot tent, but its uses don’t stop there. A few more great uses are adding extra insulation to and protecting an inflatable camping mat, rain cover for kit either on your pack or round cap, as a rain or water collector, being slung up to hold kit off the ground, carrying loose items like brush, foliage or processed firewood.

We are sure you clever resourceful people will think of plenty more uses, and we would love to hear about and see them so please send them in.

We think this is the best seat to relax round the campfire enjoying a well-earned meal and hot drink in maximum comfort after a day of campcraft, camp building, hiking, trekking or canoeing or any outdoor pursuit, and it has other uses round camp making it perfect for your outdoor adventures.
